These terms just make sure we’re all on the same page so lessons can run smoothly.
Block booking lessons are paid monthly.
Payment secures your regular lesson time each week.
Missed lessons still count as part of your monthly booking (see Cancellation Policy below).
One off lessons must be paid in advance of your lesson.
Life happens - I totally get it. Here’s how cancellations work:
If you cancel more than 72 hours before your lesson, there’s no cancellation fee.
Lessons cancelled within 72 hours of the lesson start time are subject to a £12.50 cancellation fee.
Lessons cancelled within 24 hours of the lesson start time are charged at the full lesson cost.
Sometimes it is possible to reschedule a lesson - even within 24 hours - free of charge. This depends on tutor availability. It can’t be guaranteed, but we'll always try!
£95 per month – 30-minute weekly lesson
£165 per month – 60-minute weekly lesson
The monthly fee stays the same all year, even though some months have 4 lessons and others have 5.
Your payments are spread evenly across 12 months to provide:
Stable, predictable monthly payments
A consistent average lesson cost
No higher charges in longer months
Based on 52 weeks per year, the average cost per lesson is:
30-minute lessons: £21.92
60-minute lessons: £38.07
While the number of lessons may vary in a specific month, this balances out over the year.
If a lesson is missed and qualifies under our Cancellation Policy, the average weekly rate will be deducted from your invoice:
£21.92 (30-minute lessons)
£38.07 (60-minute lessons)
Lessons missed without the required notice are not eligible for credit.
For block booking students, cancelled lessons are refunded by deducting the lesson cost from your monthly invoice. Any applicable cancellation fee will still apply.
In short:
Late cancellation → lesson cost deducted → cancellation fee applied.
Starting part-way through a month:
Your first month will be charged at the monthly rate minus any lessons that have already passed. From the following month, the standard monthly fee applies.
If you’re late, the lesson will still finish at the scheduled time so it doesn’t impact other students.
If I’m ever late, your lesson time will be made up.
If I ever need to cancel a lesson:
You’ll be offered a reschedule or the lesson cost will be refunded from your monthly invoice.
If Glasgow Drum School is closed for holidays or planned breaks, you’ll be given notice and won’t be charged for those dates.
If you go on holiday or would like to take a break from lessons, that's absolutely fine! Though please let me know as soon as possible - earlier notice gives more chance of avoiding fees and finding another time.
Group lessons have a maximum of 4 students.
If another student misses a group lesson, it still goes ahead as normal.
Group lesson places are reserved through monthly payment.
Lessons are meant to be a positive, encouraging space. Respect for the tutor, equipment, and other students is expected at all times.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know as soon as possible - earlier notice gives more chance of avoiding fees and finding another time.
